At KleinBank, our Vision is to “Inspire people to make their financial dreams come true.”  Your trust is critical to our success.   As financial service professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treating customer information responsibly.  We have had confidentiality policies, covering appropriate responses to credit inquiries, and employee access to information, for many years.   At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to make your financial dreams come true. 

Information Collection
We collect information to protect and administer your records, accounts and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service.  We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates,  or others and
Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

Restrictions and Safeguards
We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.  We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.  We will not sell any information about you to any other company.  We will not share your information with any company that offers products that are not related to your financial needs.  We do not share medical information provided as part of insurance applications or claims, except for purposes you have authorized.

Permitted Sharing of Information
Affiliates:  We are part of Klein Financial Inc. (KFI,) a financial holding company.  We are permitted by law to share information about our experience with you (but not information about your credit history obtained from an application nor a credit report) with other providers of financial services owned by KFI, (“affiliates”).  We may share information with these affiliates to protect you from fraud, to provide quick response to your service needs, to identify other services that may be appropriate and beneficial for you, and to develop or enhance  products and services  to better meet your needs.

Joint Marketing of Financial Services:We are continually seeking ways to provide value to our customers as their financial needs change, and as new products and services are developed.   We are permitted by law to share information we collect, as described above, with companies who perform marketing services on our behalf and with providers of financial services with whom we have joint marketing agreements. 

We insist, through written contracts, that they follow privacy principles similar to ours, and require them to use the information only for offering that particular product or service.  Joint marketing efforts are done only after a careful review of the company and the product or service to ensure it provides value to our customers.  We share only the minimum amount of information necessary for that company to offer its product or service.
 
We will NOT share information received from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit worthiness and credit history.  

Closed account provisions
These privacy policies and practices apply to closed accounts and former customers as well as current customers with one addition:  information on closed accounts will not be included in any information shared for joint marketing purposes.
